Cityscape nominee

This work plays with the idea of memories faded. This city scape shows LA and New York as a continued image, faded and blue, blurring the lines of where one ends and the other begins. Much like our memories after an event, we struggle to recall exactly what was real and what we have imagined.

I have been working as an artist the last 15 years, having just completed my BFA in 2016. I am continuing with my BFA Honours in 2017 while exploring more with my artistic practice. My main area of research leads towards stories, personal narratives and how we remember. I create works which provides talking point and question what we think we know about our past, place in the world and ourselves.
