I’ve always been inspired by movies and music videos taking influence from futuristic fashion. Living in NYC the last few years has helped me gain and develop a new perspective on the same. Inevitably and over time it has grown to become a part of my style.
This editorial, titled Electric Carnival is all about neon lights. I am a strong believer that in my photography work, I channel some of the major influences that have set experiences in my personal life. Since the current partial lockdown situation has got us all working from home, exploring the empty streets of New York has been nothing but a treat to the eyes. The empty neon lit streets in a usually bustling city like NYC could no longer go unnoticed.
This experience triggered the concept and led to the birth of this photo series. Working closely with an outstanding team of artists, I could easily marry my concept with the muse. My subject’s raw beauty and bold personality combined by the make-up artist’s expertise fit perfectly than ever.
