During my last summer vacation I felt deeply disturbed by the recent human violence around the globe. I was visiting beautiful places, lovely islands but my heart was consumed by an intense desire for peace and justice for those who died in the aircraft shot down over Ukraine, for the victims of violence in Gaza and Israel, for the victims of too many wars, for the victims of religious intolerance, for the thousands of garments workers who died in Bangladesh, for all the rape victims around the world, for the victims of sexual violence including those who are denied their sexual freedom, for the victims of terrorist attacks as the recent attack on freedom of expression in Paris, and for each and every victim of violence. If we continue like this, very soon we will engulf our world and humanity in an unprecedented explosion of violence.
I present my series of self-portraits . They contain poetry, aesthetics and peace. I cover my head with natural objects, symbols of my thoughts, symbols of peace, I peddles and also calms me. I discovered a living poetry, with which I continue this journey.
