"The heart ist a dark forest" visualizes the phases of a beginning (unfortunate) love with ups and downs, and shows how the heart feels.

First, it burns with energy and eventually comes to rest, only to recover as a prisoner; Caught in a forest, which previously offered protection and now encompasses threatening. The heart tries to break out of this forest, burning it down and becoming desperate amid the charred remains. But the purifying fire finally makes the heart rise again.

Jessica Prautzsch is a Hamburg-based German Fashion Photographer. After finishing her Communications Design studies, she started her career as a Designer, Art Director and Photographer. Her works have been published in various national and international exhibitions and leading fashion titles, she is represented by art+commerce photovogue by Vogue Italia.

In her photography, Jessica aims to make visible emotions, feelings and moods. She strives to create a certain atmosphere, something that resonates with the audience. To stimulate their imagination is an elementary impulse and goal of her photographic work. For Jessica, the process of taking a photo is already a very important part, cause an emotional bond between her and the model is formed, which shapes the final results of the photo shoot.

With her work she gives impulses and tells fragments of a story, with which the audience can resonate and freely interpret.
