Fine Art nominee

This piece represents the story of when I was reborn as the artist I am today. I had just moved from Guatemala with my family and was put into a new environment where I could not communicate. I felt like a statue that could not move or speak. Unable to communicate, I had to reinvent myself and in this way I was reborn. This difficult process helped open my eyes to a new talent that turned into a passion that changed my life eternally. I believe in my heart that art can speak in any language. I was born again, so I became Nacidentrica.

Award Winning Diana Pirir is an eighteen year old amateur photographer, pursuing to become a professional high fashion and fine art photographer. Diana moved to The U.S. five years ago from Guatemala. Each piece of her artwork comes with an ICA ending(In Central America), which tells a story from her life and keeps her connected to where she came from. Diana loves fashion and enjoys incorporating fashion in her work. She is a senior in high school, and will graduate in May, 2015 to latter get a BFA in photography.
