These trees have been a subject that I have returned to again and again over the years. They are located at the top of a hill on a golf course close to a hill walking area that I frequent, and I have been drawn to the way that they stand there in a group but in isolation from their surroundings.
I have tried to captured the trees at different times of the year but this is by far my favourite photo of them that I have taken. Their solitary nature perfectly suited the almost monochromatic surrounding afforded them here by a deep layer of snow.
Unfortunately these trees have now been fenced of and made inaccessible due to a change in land ownership and whilst I am sad that I will not be able to try and photograph them again, I am glad I got to explore taking pictures of them when I did.
