Ocean being the biggest dump site of the world, accumulated many non-biodegradable garbage. Among the garbage patches, the famous one is the Great Pacific garbage patch which was estimated twice as big as the size of America. One of the major source of these non-biodegradable garbage is the plastics from the land. Some of these long lasting plastics were found in the stomachs of marine wildlife and birds. The toxin-containing plastic pieces posed dangers to the wildlife.
Peninsular Malaysia being surrounded by the sea could not be escaped from the issue of garbage dumping from the land to the sea. This photo series captured the garbage found at 4 spots, separated few hundreds miles away, along the coastline in Peninsular Malaysia. These shots were taken using long exposure technique, ranging from 10th of seconds to few minutes. The motion of the waves signified the breathing of the ocean.
