My work consists of digital manipulation of images, combined and layered in photoshop to create surreal places and situations. I use my own children as the models in the images and most of the time, their personal items as props.
I have found that inspiration for these images comes in many different forms, whether it is an invite from one of my children to play, a walk through one of my favorite antique malls or tripping over a toy in the dark. Nature walks, chaos, silence and contradictions have also played a valuable part in the creative process.
I love the excitement of coming up with new ideas for surreal photographs and planning each detail and element of the image and who will get to play the main subject. I hope that my images provide humor, brighten dark moods and arouse curiosity in the viewer.
