Filippo Venturi (Cesena, 1980) is a photographer and a videomaker.
He makes commercials, reportages and socially-oriented projects; he has received a number of awards, both nationally and internationally. He collaborates with various magazines, in Italy and abroad.
Since 2011 he has been in the selecting committee of the Sedicicorto International Film Festival.
In 2012 he made “In Oblivion”, a project about the Red Hook area in New York; “In Oblivion” received numerous acknowledgements and it has been exhibited in the Centro Italiano della Fotografia d’Autore.
In 2013 he founded with other artists the Sovraesposti cultural association specialized in communication and audiovisual production and directed “Forum Living”, a documentary about the difficult situation the town of Forlì is currently experiencing in the city centre. In the same year his works were exposed in a big personal exhibition at Centro Cinema Città di Cesena. In 2014 he was selected as finalist at Kolga Tbilisi Photo Award, he received an honorable mention at Moscow International Foto Awards, a jury mention at FoFu Photo Challenge and he was in the official selection at Kontinent Awards.
In 2014 he also won the prize L’anello debole with the short film “Acqua passata”.
