Street Photography nominee

For me, Street photography is all about surprise, the 'norm' interwoven with the unexpected. My idea behind this image started out as a mini series and is simply about the inner workings of the mind and day-dreaming/escapism. Many of us have wished at some point to be somewhere else other than the here and now, or wanted to be invisible at some point in our lives. As a photographer I witness people daydreaming or tuning themselves out from the world around them on a daily basis and I enjoyed the challenge of photographing this perceived 'reality'.
