Streets of my City (Series)
DESCRIPTION
To me all photographs included into the Streets of my City project brings that tangible proof of existence of all beautiful places hidden under the skyscrapers built for and by the richest. Birmingham is the first ever city I learn about, observe and immortalise since I arrived in the UK four months ago. What impressed me from the very beginning was its industrial character. I walked down the streets for hours shooting old buildings, streets and hidden workshops occupied by the Jewellers. I started shooting double exposed images and I did it in purpose. I take photographs of the city already known to citizens, but totally new to myself. My aim is to let people interpret the view of the city once again, have another look at what they already know. Inspire them with the vibrant spirit of the city. My love to JQ pushed me to open a photography studio right here. The Gibson Kochanek Studio is located in the heart of a beautiful heritage of Birmingham city.
