Photo-Impressionism (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Photo-Impressionism is an ongoing body of work. With my camera, I borrow many of the same sensibilities as the Impressionist School of Painting. The effect is a fusion of Photography, Modern Photography, Modern Art and Classic Impressionist Painting. They are pretty and meant to be printed mural sized or as large prints.
AUTHOR
Keith Thomson is a Brooklyn based photographer who is interested in capturing a defining perspective of people, places and spaces. He loves to travel but still draws inspiration daily from this internationally renown, culturally and historically relevant place known as “Brooklyn.” The Brooklyn Bridge has been a recurring muse, as have other iconic landmarks that represent Brooklyn in both the local and worldwide collective consciousness. He has been included in many exhibitions in Brooklyn such as The Brooklyn Public Library, Kingsborough Community College and Urban Folk Art Studios©.
Although currently NYC based, Keith loves to travel and intends to continue this body of work, capturing the essence of different places and peoples.
