FROM HERE TO THERE AND BEHIND TINTED GLASS ( A Fine Art Documentary Series of 24 Photographs)

When driving through a foreign country a fascination with the people at the side of the road develops. I capture split second snaps into their lives which are poorly stored in my mind, then the bombardment of questions begin. Who are these people, what are they doing, where are they going? Feelings of adrenaline felt deep within my stomach swirl as a connection with the subject matter is processed with no understanding. These connections fade quickly as I can no longer remember a single face. New subjects enter the frame where new queries strike again.

I don't know who these people are and I will probably never see them again but now a small piece of their history is documented and I can keep on asking. It is these questions that fuel my fascination with people from different cultures and it is the 'not knowing' that is a part of art.

From a young age I have always loved photography. I believe it started with the fascination of the camera itself. “How does a small rectangular piece of plastic capture then store the same images I can see with my own eyes”?

My curiosity expanded and resulted in me studying the subject at FdA level at The Manchester School of Art where I gained a distinction awarded by The Manchester Metropolitan University. In 2012 I was awarded a 1st Class Bachelor of Arts Degree with Honours, in the study of Interactive Media (with photography) from The Liverpool John Moores University.

I have exhibited my works in various exhibitions throughout Greater Manchester and have worked on various creative projects with companies such as the Greater Manchester Police (GMP), Manchester Airport, Sainsbury's, Currency Exchange and the Royal Mail.

Currently I am the owner and Creative Director at TOUR.MEDIA, working on exciting digital and interactive projects with Google. My latest achievement involves becoming an ambassador to Prince Charles's charity -The Princes Trust.
