Photomanipulation nominee

If you know Derek, you must have noticed that his beard is a distinguished characteristic of him. However by the time I was planing on shooting some conceptual image with him (related to his beard), he suddenly shaved it. But instead of dropping the idea, I opted for pushing it forward and took it as a personal challenge for my self. It was the first time I tried to do some post-production work of this magnitude and it took me a few hours on different days to paint that beard hair by hair, add the shadows and lights an the colors making it till the point where I was happy with the result. At the end, I think it was worth it and fun to do.
