Portrait nominee

I was remembering looking at the empty street, knowing that there out there were million mouths, of hands, of dreams, of illusions, of men and women who carved his bodies, painted his faces, ignited fires, initiated wars looking for the same question. They looked at me to look at them and they still sweat or cry or die of nonchalance; amazed, dazzled for the insignificance of the fullness of his tiny lives. I was looking across the window knowing that out the same looks will be in all the looks; the looks that we hide behind the walls, in the silences, in the deserts, in the villages tormented by the haze, in the hell of the bananas, in the men and in the women that don´t have face, neither name nor nothing.
Where is my brother? That one that does not have face.
I remembered these things that we, the men, invent to leave the mark in the posterity: the portrait. Claim to give face those who have no face, assign a name to a generic image: all the eyes of all the poor of the world support the same look, but each of them is each of them.
