Clevedon Pier (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Clevedon Pier is a Victorian structure and is situated on the Somerset coast, in the South West of England and has been described by Sir John Betjeman, as "the most beautiful pier in England."
The stretch of coastline that the pier sits in has the second highest tide in the world and it is also claimed that it has one of the best sunsets in the world. Therefore, it is like a honey pot to photographers and to create something that was different was going to be a challenge.
During the past two years I have visited Clevedon on many occasions throughout the year to photograph it from various positions in order to give it a different perspective and in a new light.
It was also my intention to work in Black and White and from the images I have submitted I believe I have produced a series of work that shows off this wonderful old structure that will cause people to look at it in a way that has not been previously seen.
