The pictures presented in this selection are a part of a much bigger project started in 2015 called Hymns. In the project I intend to explore and show through a surreal, at times grotesque visions of the complexity of the human identity.
Since is my opinion that wearing a mask eases telling the truth and it allows us to show our real identity, I decided to use masks, made by my self, the central subject of the pictures.
The presented images tell the dreaming life of a Man spanning trough his entire life.
Starting with the first picture where he is born, and everything is light, soft and joyful, like staying on a little fluffy cloud.
In the second image we are in his youth, where he has any opportunity all the possibilities in life lie in front of him and all is possible even to fly to the moon.
In the third one we see him dealing with all the responsibilities and losses of the adulthood, but never stopping dreaming of a quiet future.
The fourth picture is the elderly age where he looks back at his life.
The last entry is the closure of his journey, cotidie morimur.
