Conceptual nominee

Ever since I was a teenager I have had a passion for photography consisting of balloons, gas masks, and levitation. I was never fully satisfied with the photographs that existed and knew that if I was ever going to be satisfied, I would have to bring my own visions to life. I created the series, "Fears, Nightmares, & Dreams Collide" which incorporates each of my passions: balloons, gas masks, and levitation. The dreamlike series is a mixture of conceptualism and surrealism. My love for nature and natural lighting played a vital role in the creation of this dramatic series.

Ben Mancino is a fine art photographer from North Adams, Massachusetts. Mancino's specialties include landscapes, nature, and surrealism.
