Conceptual nominee

pause: a series designed to capture some fleeting and unimportant details of everyday life. through this series I wanted to create a feeling of awe or wonder around very menial, commonplace items. too often do individuals forget that life is not a guarantee; that even the most fleeting moments can possess something new and beautiful. these images seek to remind the viewer to stop and appreciate the little things, no matter how insignificant they may seem.

Angelo Gentile III is a freelance photographer and assistant cameraman currently based out of Los Angeles, CA but always looking to escape his urban environment. Angelo received a scholarship to a decently expensive college in Boston, MA and has spent all the money he would have saved on purchasing and shooting film photography. Although he no longer has access to a darkroom, he lives in a very small apartment now, he still finds film to be the only medium worth exploring. With a great desire to travel and document our world, Angelo tries to bring a refreshing view to the sometimes ordinary happenings of life.
