What is reality? Revelation deals with perception and consciousness in a surrealistic way. The photo is significantly inspired by religious, philosophical and psychedelic influences. The main focus is the idea that we - reconstructors of a subjective world - create and continuously form our own reality. The product is always as individual as the mind itself.

German photographer Julian Schievelkamp (born 1994) is one of the young generation of fine art photographers. A scholarship enabled him to study experimental photography in Cologne in 2015. As an artist, he visualises surreal experiences and deals intensively with psychological, philosophical and ethnological topics. His psychedelic artwork has been exhibited in London, Berlin and Cologne.
