The Walk of Loneliness is a personal project which formed during the years 2014¬2015, while I was battling with shame and its soul demolishing consequences.
During this period I got mesmerized by the fog and how it engulfs the nearby woodland. As my self-worth diminished, slowly the forest became the visualization of my feelings. The woods that always understood me, have changed from colourful and happy to melancholic and helpless. But even in this state Nature never frightened me. Over time being alone in the Nature became the only place where I felt accepted. I felt I should disappear and never come back to the Human's World, which only made me feel disconnected, useless and severely lonely. I was certain no one would care me not being around anymore.
The photo series "The Walk of Loneliness" tries to capture the changes going on in my soul and by that in my view of my beloved place. It takes the viewer with me on one of my walks and shows how my perception changed throughout the different stages of my battle with my own worthlessness.
