This is a infrared photo of a dead branch of the Narew river in Eastern Poland.
After a heavy rainfall the water level raised and flooded part of the surrounding fields. I envisioned how the area would have changed due to the rainfall and I went back to this chosen site which I have visited several times in different seasons.
My visual concept was to isolate the old trees on the opposite side of the river and concentrate on their reflections. I looked for a simple yet elegant composition which would emphasize the natural beauty of that particular moment.
This is the setup used:
Mamiya 7ii (medium format film camera)
Efke Aura 820 (IR film)
Hoya R72 (IR filter)
4sec / f16 / ASA 25 (tech details of the photo)
amateur category
Reflections, Narew river, Poland (Single)
