Night Photography nominee

To me, astrophotography is a special type of photography.
It's a combination of art, science, and modern technologies. I think one can find religion in it too, for it reflects the spirit of the XXI century.

Despite the fact that night photography has long been practiced, photographers' abilities and technical skills are still being strained to the limit. Bad thing is that we cannot see very well in the dark, and another one is that camera capabilities are limited. We know the night is not full of monsters and horrors, but beautiful. So now it can be captured. Every time I shoot astro-landscape in Crimea I find the depth of the night sky and the landscape itself majestic and very impressive. July is the best month for taking pictures of the Milky Way there, because the galactic center rises above the horizon. In the daylight while exploring the area I pictured the photo in my head. And I liked it. At night all the rocks, caves, and coves, and an infinite number of stars exited the most lively joy in me, which I tried to fill my photo with using different shooting techniques.

My name is Evgeny Zaitsev. I'm a photographer, an artist from Russia. I was always attracted by a combination of modern technology and the visual art. That's why I began to engage in digital photography, especially astrolandscape. To me, astrophotography is a special type of photography. It's a combination of art, science, and modern technologies, all this reflects the spirit of the XXI century. Despite the fact that night photography has long been practiced, photographer’s abilities and technical skills are still being strained to the limit. The bad thing is that we cannot see very well in the dark, and another one is that camera capabilities are limited. But we know the night is not full of monsters and horrors, it’s beautiful. And I try to convey all beauty of the night landscape in my photos.
