Phantomatique // Nowhere to be seen is a story. Mine... But every lover's one. Maybe the story is about love. But i'd say its more about movement that has to stop, the absence, the wait, the path and the trajectories. It's a story about a missing person once loved that is forever gone and cannot be seen/found anymore. Disappeared, absent, evaporated but still everywhere, like a ghost moving in the air, floating around, on a flat-tyre motorbike, on the concrete of a wall, in a puddle... in souvenirs. Now, what I see is confused, mixed with what I remember. Is it him that I see there or is it just my mind that play tricks on me ?
I'm questionning myself : after a long realtionship ends, what stays ? What disappears ? The impossibility of finding the missing one reveals a new trajectory in a new world. What is now my place in this world ; where am I going to ?
The digital pictures (the whole serie is +/- 30 pictures) have been made in different places around the world. Places I walked alone or with the now-missing-lover between 2010 and now.
