This abandoned TV and footstool were sitting in a room in an abandoned hotel in Pennsylvania.
I had been looking for interesting subjects in the hotel to shoot, and saw this setup in the corner of one of the old room. Immediately, I was drawn to the natural composition and lighting of the scene - the TV in the corner as if someone had just finished watching it and the light perfectly highlighting the scene.
I took several shots of this area in particular, and this composition worked the best - I choose a tight framing to draw the viewer into the subject and create intimacy with the scene. This also excludes the rest of the room from the composition and makes the subject into the main, clear focus without distraction.
