An ancient Kyrgyz proverb says that "Horses are the Wings of Man". The proverb is true to this day, as many people in Kyrgyzstan use horses in daily life, and for many locations horses remain the best and most reliable means of transportation. The special bond between man and horse is omnipresent in Kyrgyzstan even though the country is rapidly modernizing.
