Urban Saga ia a series shot so far in New York and Paris and my intention here is transmit the emotion I felt in front of some of the most iconic buildings in the world. I am suggesting the intensity of this emotion by idealizing my subject visually presenting what I consider the best and most eloquent view of the buildings I photograph. There is tension and serenity in these buildings and I intend to convey this idea by using intense dark and respectively bright tones and by emphasizing what I find to be the most characteristic element in the frame from the point of view of its emotional impact.
By using tight frames, that emphasize more the dominant object in the image and
less the environment, I aim to intensify the emotion the idealized shapes of the buildings create to the viewer. By using my processing method Photography Drawing I am able to control the distribution of tones in the image and emphasize or conceal, by case, portions of the image that are more or less interesting in my story.
