My intention in this cityscape of Chicago was to look at the world in a different way that I would do it normally, in a reverse way.
The way I am creating this photograph is by replicating the same convergence I would create if shooting straight up to the sky, but this time I am doing this by looking straight down to the ground. This gives me the opportunity to look at my subject (the buildings I photograph), and by extension at the world in a diametrical opposite way than I would look in a conventional way, if I stood on the ground looking up, and reveals me a completely new facet of the world.
What I do in essence is to use photography to interpret the world in a new way.
