From time to time you experience fleeting moments of clarity. Moments that you can take at face value without them having to meet any expectations, and in which you can sometimes feel your memories being formed. Moments that will soon pass, and though you try to hang on to them for as long as possible, you eventually must let go.
The Polaroid itself, like these moments, is both transient and unique. Its softness and blurriness amplify this ephemeral state and the tangibility of time.
By printing a scan of the Polaroid rather than presenting the Polaroid itself, the photographic matter becomes part of the image, and of the reading of the work.
[Please note: The white background isn't a border, it is part of the image]
