Conceptual nominee

These images are parts of my on-going series "alchemist's dream" which I create as if a children's illustration book without words. The concept of this fairytale is that images you see here are the fragments of a man's daydream who happens to be an alchemist.

With this series, I try to cross the boundary between real and imaginary.
I want to show the imaginary exists in real life we live in, and I want to show how imaginative this world could be.
That is one of the reason why I use film. I use the legend that "film do not lie" while digital can easily.
I want these imaginary world to actually exist. So I actually construct the whole scene, and simply shoot it with film.

I hope that seeing my works will lead the viewers to open up the door to their imaginary world.

All images are shot with 8x10" film, and printed with 16x20" Gelatin Silver Print.
