DESCRIPTION
Images are very often heavily manipulated until there is no trace of reality anymore. Personally I like to
see real people with their imperfections which is more interesting. I put the human being as a piece of
nature or an object in my picture. This is a reaction on a lot of fashion photography in which the
personality anyway is not important. And it is precisely therefore that I want to let the authenticity of
the body speak for itself. An Over manipulated body gives us wrong perception of reality. It is
imperfection that makes an image interesting and that is what I use in the serie 'SOIS BELLE' which means
as much as 'BE PRETTY'

Bio:
Annelie Vandendael was born in Belgium on 19.10.87 and grew up in the South of France. After college she came back to Belgium to study at the royal Academy of Fine Arts (kask) in Ghent where she got a masterdegree in Photography . ‘Image’ Has always been a passion for her.
