During a certain period of the day, i could see the sequences of dots by the venetian blind’s shadow. It became a symbol that i used to study about the relationship of time and my own photograph. In my series Dot, I wanted to depict all the complicated interactions of time into a simple dot, which represented every second of time.
By putting dots against an infinite white space, the sequence of dots become an exploration of time, space, and me.
My photographs actually responded to my question, and i could find a clear answer from my last project. Sometimes my films got damaged or there was a color shift caused by the weather conditions. I wanted to use a tool that could actually deliver the feeling that i had every moment, it was challenging to see the relationship between me and dot, however my last project really proven something to myself which is more valuable than the photographs.
