The pictures are digital images, which have undergone manipulation once printed – the digital images complemented with manual techniques and experimentation with physical alterations. These images were created using different natural, material based old paper. In my work I explore the layered meanings of archetype motifs such as death, self-sacrifice, memory, remembrance, and femininity. During realization of these subjects, my most important mediums among others are the accentuation of unique gestures, and the combination of unconventional techniques, which facilitate the expression of symbolic meaning. Through the use of an experimental approach – and although appearing in different forms in modern day – existing archetypes associated with witchcraft are explored in the WITCH and WALPURG project, which manifest in the subjects of victimization and loss of identity reflected through the physical distortion of the images. I produce images that accentuate physical aggression associated with witchcraft: motifs of destruction appearing through physical damage to the images. Many times I used “tearing” movements and gestures which reflect the lasting scars of aggression, and the vivid, intense colours that bring to mind the image of glowing embers, and burning at the stake – these two elements unified by light.

In 2014 I graduated in the Moholy-Nagy University of Art and Design, Department of Photography MA.

In 2015 and in 2016 I was awarded the Jozsef Pecsi Art Photography Scholarship.
