Ricardo Miras has worked as a photographer since the early 80’s. He began his career as assistant to a couple of well-known advertising photographers, spending a year with Mike Marshal followed by two with Joseph L. Mendez.
He opened his photographic studio in Barcelona in 1986 with a focus on editorial photography and with time has become one of the most famous portrait artists in Spain. Many have posed for his camera including Antoni Tàpies, Stuart Weitzman, Will Smith,Jacqueline Bisset, James Ellroy, Ines Sastre, Montserrat Caballé, José Carreras, Mario Vargas Llosa, , Judit Mascó, Valeria Mazza, Bret Easton Ellis, Pau Gasol or Jean Cacharel, among others.
In 1994 he takes the plunge into advertising to sign national and international campaigns as the photographer for Nike, Rolex, Ballantine’s, Beefeater, J&B, Audi,Mercedes, Mitsubishi, BMW, Seat, Carolina Herrera, Yamaha or Iberia.
