Landscape nominee

Uluru is the second largest Monolith in Australia and is int he center of our vast continent. Due to it's color and the color of the surrounding area it is referred to as the Red Center of Australia. Only 1% off all visitors get to see it in the rain and I was lucky enough to be one of them. When we approached the rock it was pouring down, by the time we had driven around the rock and I had taken some pictures, the rain had stopped and within 10 minutes this was the scene, ten minutes later and the waterfalls were all gone.
I was also fascinated by the texture of the rock, I had assumed it would be quite smooth when in actual fact it was very pock marked.

I am a photo coach/critique for Digital-photo-secrets and have been a photographer for over 20 years.
I have a series on books on Amazon titled "Quick Tips from a Pro Photographer" and I love to help others to learn so that they may experience the joy that photography has brought to my life.
I believe in the healing power of Nature, be that through photography or images and I have recently started a Photoshop artistry and Awake course to do more digital art.
2nd place in local art competition, won many awards on Pixoto and similar sites, have sold a large volume of work both online and in the local art gallery. Have had work published in numerous publications. Have yet to win first place in an art competition:))
