“Lightning or people, both are energy that manifest in different ways...”

Hunting lightning is satisfying my creative needs and a quest for adrenaline. It is getting into the storm as close as possible to capture in a unique way the power of nature along with the beauty of our civilization.

When I´m in the middle of a storm everything goes in slow motion, I can see the complete journey of the lightning, see how it turns night into day light for an instant and feel how thunders makes everything around me resound. It is an intense moment, joy and fear makes me shudder with an unusual combination of emotions that feeds my soul, my life…

Intuition, perseverance, creativity and madness have been my main virtues to achieve the photos in the middle of a tough environment.

Each lightning strike is unique, their chaotic shapes are so familiar to me, I´ve seen them in different places, like the roots of trees, the veins in our bodies, a river reaching the sea, it´s like if those shapes were unique brushes from who created the universe…

I was born in Mexico City in 1986. I´m photographer, independent filmmaker and mechatronic engineer interested in creating and expressing through art.

Accomplishments:
The Lightning Hunter project (since July 2014) in which I create unique photos of lightning strikes with representatives buildings and monuments of Mexico City, to merge the development of our civilization with the beauty and power of nature.
