Got Chocolate? (Series)
DESCRIPTION
The “Got Chocolate” series represents the uplifting of the African American community mainly people of darker complexions. Many people of darker complexion do not see themselves as beautiful with the stigma that society puts on them. With the series I want darker skin male and females to feel good about themselves and to see themselves as beautiful. I used actual chocolate to illustrate my intentions for what the series represents. The darker tone person in the series is seen primarily as the dominate person. With the images I made sure that the faces were not shown so the focus will not be on any particular person. The focus is on the expressions and movements of the images to give them an intimate and personal nature. The transfer of chocolate is the indicator for the the darker tone person asking the question Got Chocolate?
AUTHOR
Hello my name is Dontez the guy that is addicted to photography and takes his camera with him everywhere he goes. I like to explore the world I live in from the abandon buildings in the city, from building a set in the photography studio, to going out in nature to create art.
I am also a published, and an award winning photographer that likes to experiment with many different techniques to fulfill what I want my pictures to look like. Currently living in Atlanta and willing to travel.
I like to talk to my clients about ideas, concepts, and the locations of the photoshoot at hand. This helps me to customize the photoshoot and bring the vision to life.
For me photography is the way i view life within itself.
