Nudes nominee

The 'Vicinus' project is a series of character studies shot over the course of a year. Each subject was found on the internet. After research and interviews with each person I'd design a shoot that would embellish a part of their personality. So, even though the images may come across as fantastical or surreal they are in fact an honest representation of how these characters feel about themselves.

I'm a photographer,/filmmaker and artist based in New York. Originally from Switzerland, I studied film and photography first in New Zealand and then later in England. I shoot commercial and editorial fashion to pay the bills and then direct short films, music videos, sub-culture portraiture series' as well as countless personal art projects in my free time.

In October 2015 I had my first solo exhibition and released my first book 'Vicinus' which is being sold through the Gagosian gallery.
