Open Theme nominee

I live in the Bay Area where it is filled with a plethora of beautiful landmarks and locations that have been photographed millions of times by the many people who visit. For this project, I turned my attention to the outskirts of town that are rarely seen, or usually overlooked by the occasional person who passes by. My intention was to challenge conventional thinking on what is considered an aesthetically pleasing landscape photograph, and to show beauty in these areas that are often neglected.
