DESCRIPTION
The photos in this series were taken in a deserted airport terminal at Ben-Gurion Airport, Israel.
They show deserted spaces as a stamp in time, alluding to past stories, practices and policies. Empty of any human presence but left largely untouched, they have acquired an eerie, almost post-apocalyptic feel.
AUTHOR
Shira Gutgold is a fine-art photographer. She works on concept-led projects using a mixed analogue-digital process.
Her work explores themes such as the relationship between photography and memory and the role of the photographic artefact today.
