Photojournalism nominee

'Monster' is a documentary series I shot at a monster truck mud bogging festival in Perry, Florida. I was initially attracted to the overwhelming scale and surreal nature of this sub-culture. However, it was in fact the warmth, hospitality and camaraderie of the people I met there that stuck with me. Despite it's intimidating exterior it's actually very much about family, community and good fun.

I'm a photographer,/filmmaker and artist based in New York. Originally from Switzerland, I studied film and photography first in New Zealand and then later in England. I shoot commercial and editorial fashion to pay the bills and then direct short films, music videos, sub-culture portraiture series' as well as countless personal art projects in my free time.

In October 2015 I had my first solo exhibition and released my first book 'Vicinus' which is being sold through the Gagosian gallery.
