Documentary portrait series focusing on Artist, Collector, Vivienne Westwood enthusiast and all round eccentric Lee Trosclair.
Known for his extensive Vivienne Westwood collection I decided that documenting his wardrobe would be a great place to begin my photo series. We started at his house where he lives with his identical twin Sid. Collecting all things Westwood since day one, Lee’s bounty is stacked like heaps of treasure at his semi detached house Trosclair Acres in Gorleston, Norfolk.
Over the past year I have been visiting Lee from time to time, drinking cider, eating chocolate muffins and taking a picture or two. Within this time the project has evolved into something that I still can’t quite describe in writing. It has moved beyond photographing Lee wearing great clothes into documenting his whole raison d'être.
With the abrupt passing of my father two years ago my life took an unforeseeable shift in focus, looking after my family was and still is now of most importance. It’s hard to say this but I feel that I have been blessed with another chance of a father figure with Lee. He’s my teacher, my friend and my idol, everything I lost has been rediscovered.
