DESCRIPTION
It is a portrait of a naked little boy lying on a black fabric and looking straight at the viewer.
At a first glance, it’s a simple portrait, but what highlights the whole beauty of it is all the little details.
The discreet little scars on his body, the length of his nails, the dirt on his feet, the position of his hands... and there’s something so powerful, almost devine in his eyes. For me, the portrait of Hector is different from all the others in the series.
Out of the series, this portrait returns to an interpretation of the Genesis. The position of Hector's finger, reminds of the finger of God in Michelangelo’s famous « Creation of Adam ». This little child, represented as a Cherub, is reproducing this devine gesture showing his belly button - symbolizing the center of universe. It is a interpretation of the Creation of Men.
