About the Title « Water Symphony »
Snow, ice, sea, river, mist… water in any of these states inspires me… Between -30C° and +36C°, from dawn to dusk, shooting "water" during inclement weather is a fascinating experience. Atmospheric landscape is what I am looking for. For family reason, I quite often have the opportunity to travel and work around the globe. I have just luckily spent the last two years in photographing New Calidonia, New Zealand, Australia and China, those dramatic geographic locations became magic visual splendour while meeting the particular weather patterns… Those moments of capture were really strong and exciting with a melting sensation of joy, frustration and sometimes fear… During the whole process, I would say that the most exhilarating experience for me was preparing and planning the shot. Spotting somewhere off the beaten track was quite tedious and risky, however it might have been the first dash of challenge and adventure that we could have tasted while heading out for a shooting… … Most of the time I said that I was lucky to be there at the right time but we do know that it was a well-prepared and anticipated "luck"!
