Free Food for Iftar (Series)
DESCRIPTION
Iftar (Arabic: إفطار ifṭār 'breakfast') is the evening meal when Muslims end their daily Ramadan fast at sunset. During this time, many wealthy families as well as social services in Qatar are giving every evening free food for the low income workers. Some are erecting whole tents while others distributing the food directly from the back of a pickup as documented in this series. An unbelievable long row of people (up to 600) already lining up an hour before the delivery. Although sometimes some people needs to be reprimanded, the majority is waiting patiently until ones turn.
