In this series I looked for discarded items, broken or unwanted castoffs, or evidence of vandalism, that through juxtaposition, chance, or light hitting them at a certain angle, have escaped their immediate definition. For a brief period of time, before they are moved, thrown away or fixed, these items occasionally create sometimes beautiful.
Sometimes when I return with my camera they are no longer there, or have changed and to me are no longer beautiful. Sometimes they're left as they are for a long time and gain a more permanent status.
It is their temporary and unpredicted existence that makes them precious.
