DESCRIPTION
Every year, flamingos or Phoenicopterus roseus, (the most common species of the flamingos family), migrate to warmer places like Cyprus. At the Larnaca salt lake which is a Natura 2000 site and a special protected area officials estimate that there are around 15.000 flamingos. Among the adult flamingos, lots of juveniles that don’t have their pink colour yet.
AUTHOR
Born in Athens, Greece in 1975 and has been living in the (Republic of) Cyprus since 2000. Photojournalist–reporter since 1994 and have worked for several publications, including newspapers, magazines and international news agencies. Have overed major stories in conflict/crisis zones.
