Goddess Series
This series of photographs continues my fascination with digital abstraction and manipulation. As a new arrival to Australia, I ventured to the iconic Opera House and began to take multiple shots of the famous architectural forms while they were bathed in the shimmering lights of the Sydney Vivid Festival. I then merged and collage photographs to arrive at my final works.
This work is part of an ongoing series called “Goddess.” It represents the concept of the feminine as an archetype projected into a futuristic time and space. It connects the masculine and feminine symbols as a marker for a blending of genders where no one holds absolute power, but is shared. The organic forms and complex geometric structures tell of sacred beings merging my ancient Persian culture with the mysticism of the Aboriginal culture of my new homeland.
