Abstract nominee

Riding the Culver Line, an extremely long New York City subway route that extends from Jamaica, Queens, through the borough of Manhattan, and culminates at the sea in Coney Island, Brooklyn.
These images were made during the above ground segments of this route, through the front window of the first car. This is what the motorman sees.
