Architecture nominee

"Abstract concrete" is an homage to Oscar Niemeyer, one of the most important architects in the world, deceased in 2012.
Formed only by curves and minimalist lines, almost abstract, the images are articulated by two references: the concretist movement in Brazilian art, contemporary of Brasilia’s construction, and the creative process of the architect, who used to synthesize his ideas with a few lines on a sheet of paper.

José Roberto Bassul is an architect and photographer. Born in Rio de Janeiro, he lives in Brasilia, Brazil. His favorite subjects are architecture, cityscapes and contemporary aspects of urban life. He acts as an authorial photographer. His works have been exhibited in art galleries and are held in private and public collections.
